Grace McNair Obituary
From the Brodhead Historical Society's Archives :
"Services Held for Grace E. McNair
Services for Miss Grace E. McNair, younger daughter of Miles and Rachel Melinda [sic] McNair, who died in Wauwatosa, June 7, were held in Greenwood cemetery, Saturday afternoon, June 16, with the Rev. J. C. Robertson of the Congregational church officiating.
Miss McNair was born June 22, 1877, in Brodhead and was graduated from our high school, June 16, 1893, the youngest member of a class of 21 students.
She attended the University of Wisconsin where she received the degrees of B.A. and M.A. in history, graduating in 1898. She was a member of Phi Beta Kappa and taught in the Brodhead high school.
Miss McNair traveled widely in Europe and also traveled extensively in our own country.
Her ashes were brought here by her nephews who were accompanied by their wives, Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Perry, Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Perry and her niece, Miss Marian Perry. Preceding her in death were her sister, Mrs. Charles B. (Frances McNair) Perry and her brother, Grant McNair. Interment was in the family lot near the center of the original portion of the cemetery where many of the olde settlers are buried."

Grace passed away in 1945.
